Elizabeth Mandlik

Elli’s mother intentionally kept her and her twin brother Mark away from tennis until they were 7 years old. She didn’t want them to fall out of love with the game from years of training drills if they chose to play professionally one day.

Elli’s biggest goal is to win the Wimbledon trophy – the one Grand Slam title that escaped her mother. Unsurprisingly, she credits her mother as her biggest inspiration.

Off the court, Elli is a keen skier, a sport her mother introduced her to before she started playing tennis. Had she not opted to be a tennis professional, Elli would have considered skiing competitively.

She enjoys fun in the water too, taking advantage of her Florida location to engage in boating and jet skiing.

Elli feels one must embrace failure as a necessary step to achieving success.
